| Report Summary | Discovery is currently focused on training, improving FRBR, refining the resource/format types, and making changes to scopes/facets/labels based on UX recommendations. Recent changes to display logic in CSU scope needs to be tested and refined. |
| Description | Training sessions on Making UI changes, Creating new views, and Working with the central package were provided over the first two weeks of April. These training can be seen at Primo Functional Calls. The most recent renorm, pending 4/13 completion, should result in the prevention of FRBRization for scores and foreign language materials as we attempt to improve FRBR performance. Further issues with FRBRization regarding unlike items FRBRizing have been submitted to EL. Discovery may potentially recommend FRBR be turned off for the installation to address these concerns but that decision is pending ELs current work and input from all campuses. A new resource type list has been proposed by TS and will be implemented in the next April renorm. David Walker has proposed a unified set of scopes, facet configurations and labels that campuses can adopt and ask the CO to implement. David is also working on a Central Package providing CSS and JS that improve interface features. | Action Items | Test new Resource Sharing setting in CSU scope after reindexing is completed on 4/13. Actively adopt the Trello normalization and boosting request boards - Sarina and Christina working on Google Form integration to allow submission without Trello account. Open Tech Services meeting on 4/13 will address harvesting and normalization for:
