- Focus on the New UI (with AngularJS customization package capability – general release is in August)
- How users are using and navigating the website (navigation, language, labels, tools) --exclusive of collection content and results ranking
- Includes discovery and user-facing services
- Best practices of website experience applied to Primo. Recommend usability standards.
- Focus primarily on external students/faculty
- Run usability studies; collect usability research and tests
- Create a toolkit that contains: research, usability testing instruments and results
- 3rd party integration working on AngularJS. UX Task Force could request/vet/test customizations
- Accessibility Testing
- Go live priorities
- ADA Roadmap – find weaknesses, communicate them to ExLibris
- Run usability testing series against diverse campus populations to get good data. Develop testing toolkits that can used without special software.
- Develop interface design standards backed by solid usability data.
- Usability/Accessibility + Testing Toolkit available (would include guidelines for mapping user stories/tasks, studies, and instructions for changing a few things like moving the facets to the left).
