Define Time to Reshelve

Time to Reshelve can provide users with a general expectation of when an item will be placed back on the shelf. In Primo, the item will show as available with a message displaying the expected reshelve time.

Time to Reshelve can be configured at the Library and Circulation Desk levels. The Circulation Desk configuration will override the Library configuration.

Library Configuration

  1. Navigate to the Fulfillment configuration menu for the Library.

  2. Select Library Details under Library Management.

     

  3. Enter the Time to reshelve (hours) under General Details.  Click Save.

     

Circulation Desk Configuration

  1. Navigate to the Fulfillment configuration menu for the Library where the Circulation Desk is configured.

  2. Select Circulation Desks under Library Management.

     

  3. Select the Circulation Desk to configure by clicking on the desk code or by selecting Edit from the row actions menu.

  4. Enter the Time to reshelve (hours) under General Details.  Click Save.

Time to Reshelve Message

When an item is checked in, the item will immediately become available for checkout, requesting, and other fulfillment functions. An “Awaiting reshelving until…” message will show next to the item status in Alma and Primo.

Adjust Message in Primo

You can adjust the message displayed in the Get It menu for the item in Primo. Configuration must be made on the Institution level and will affect all Libraries and Circulation Desks.

  1. Navigate to the Fulfillment configuration menu for the Institution.

  2. Select Labels under Discovery Interface Display Logic.

     

  3. Select Customize from the row actions menu next to the label to customize. *This step may not be needed if the label was customized previously.

     

  4. Enter the customized text in the Description field.

     

Reshelving Labels

c.uresolver.getit2.item_list.status.ALL_HOLDING_ITEMS_AWAITING_RESHELVING

Displays in the Get-it menu when all holdings have been returned within the reshelving time.

c.uresolver.getit2.item_list.status.SOME_HOLDING_ITEMS_AWAITING_RESHELVING

Displays in the Get-it menu when at least one holding has been returned within the reshelving time.

c.uresolver.getit2.item_list.status.ITEM_AWAITING_RESHELVING

                Displays next to the item returned within the reshelving time.
