  • ScholarWorks Glossary

  • Announce at Dig Repo open forum. IRWG will start document.

Who is the audience: general IR?

    Started adding terms to define.

Each group member will define a word, a few sentences (ex: official definition from Samvera).

Toolkit?

Carmen Mitchell

ScholarWorks Toolkit (detailed explanations, examples), toolkit may include glossary

Similar to: https://journalguide.calstate.edu/, mimic this structure, created in Drupal

What should be in toolkit? Documenting institutional knowledge.

Audience: IR librarians, library staff, new to SW

Sections: getting started, links to historical docs (will create outline, crowdsource at future IR meeting?), user roles (SW admins, managers), policies/guidelines, metadata schemas/fields, content management: ingest, embargos, removals; creating collections in SW, resources (incl. glossary, project managers list, rights checking), How do I…? (similar to “Training” page in confluence), Alma/Primo config: ex: piping data from SW into,

Timeline: project manager meeting (mid-Nov?), finalize outline by then, ask for volunteers to work on sections, rough draft by Summer 2024 (or annual meeting edit-a-thon?)
