From SCELC: The Partnership for Shared Book Collections Shared Print Discovery Task Force of the Infrastructure Working Group is looking for new members from Alma libraries.
Charge: This group will explore the possibilities for library systems in support of the discovery and access of retentions for monographic shared print programs. While this approach is platform-agnostic, it will take as a use case Ex Libris’s Alma (ILS) and Primo (discovery layer). The group will explore what Ex Libris and this system stack can currently do for discovery and access of shared print (i.e., leveraging the 583 note), explore program and library needs, and what current gaps could be filled. The end product of this work will be a summary detailing the above areas that can be shared with the wider shared print and Alma user communities.
