Holiday Closure Guide

Discussed actions each institution should take to prepare for winter break.
Decided that requests should just not expire over break (instead of turning off borrowing and lending)
Some small parts need additional testing before a document can be created (see action items for details)
e-mail to be drafted to indicate above points. Aim to be done with guide by end of next week (12/8) and posted to the website.

Tricor issues

Effort to collect information about issues with Tricor deliveries.
Haven’t gotten much feedback from people about Tricor issues. Doesn’t seem like there’s much interest in continuing to collect issues or approaching Tricor reps about these problems.
Will circle back to address this in the new year.

Why do we need the policy?
What happens without the policy?
What’s the reason for your specific recommendation (ie why boxes and not just bubble wrap? Why 60 days and not 90 days?)

Each group member will pick two to add content to and incorporate feedback for discussion at 12/8 meeting:

Mallory DeBartolo (Unlicensed) look at the NZ TOUs (specifically the closed library due date management) for these and try pushing out changes from the NZ.
Mallory DeBartolo (Unlicensed) Holdshelf config: do hold shelf requests expire on closed days?
Mallory DeBartolo (Unlicensed) Test Due Date Correction after Calendar Change job with Stacy and Kevin
Mallory DeBartolo (Unlicensed) make sure everyone has editing abilities to the RSFC group page
Chris Lee (Unlicensed) Add to short term goals: create some process for addressing delivery issues/problem reporting for TRICOR deliveries. Include talking about effectiveness of flipcards v stickers.
Chris Lee (Unlicensed) investigate: are due dates only calculating open days or all days?
Stacy Caron (Unlicensed) Compose a message with recommendation to leave requests in the CSU+ queue without an expiration date. Draft by Tuesday 05 Dec 2017 and send to RSFC for edits.
