Scheduling Regular Meetings
  • Regular meetings were scheduled for every Wednesday from 10am until 11am.
  • Some of these meetings will be cancelled (if there is nothing to discuss) and some of these meetings will be turned into open forum meetings.
  • First open forum: Wed 9/27 10-11
Using Slack
  • The committee talked about Slack and wants to encourage Access Services staff to use this tool as it is very powerful and helpful. After our discussion, we decided that at our next open forum meeting, we would do a tutorial of slack for those who might not fully understand how to use it, what it’s used for, etc. It appears that now it is heavily used by a few individuals, but it’s widely used and we would like to change that.
Committee Communication
  • In this meeting we also created a closed slack channel for the members of the Fulfillment Committee to continue discussions and to have quick access to all committee members
  • We will also start to maintain the confluence page for the Fulfillment Committee and start adding meeting notes, recordings from the Open Sessions, action items, to dos, etc.
Other
  • There was also a discussion about the new UI where we did a brief demo to show everyone what it looked like and heard experiences from people who are already using it at their campus.
  • We also had a brief discussion about letters in Alma and a few small issues that some had encountered.
