- Use Electronic Collection search option in Alma to locate the best matching e-resource title. Search query help can be found in Helpful Alma Repository Search Queries
- Search the IZ to make sure you don’t already have the e-resource ordered or activated
- Before ordering a new e-resource, it is important to check the NZ to see if the e-collection is available from the CO as an Opt-in or ECC
- If the new e-resource is not an Opt-in or ECC, order the e-collection in Community Zone (CZ).
- If no e-collection exists in CZ, please refer to In-Process Brief Bib Records & Minimum Acquisitions Datacreate Local Electronic Collection in the IZ
- Order on the Local Collection
- Import bibliographic record to IZ and share with Network. (if no bibliographic record exists in the NZ)
- Link Local Inventory to Bibliographic Records in the Network Zone (if bibliographic record exists in the NZ)
- License and payment are at the individual Institution level
