Canvas

• Show Canvas course for Rapido

  • Link to join the course

  • Open to anyone in the CSU with CSU email address

  • We can choose what is visible to students

  • Models, quizzes, credentials (in student view)

    • Locked modules are greyed out

    • Need to finish the previous module to unlock the next module

    • Unlocks one by completing the quiz

  • Badges- Name of module, name of course

  • Some users mentioned videos would be helpful

  • Different courses for different levels/audience

  • When opening the course to the public, consider cost

  • There are standards we would have to follow

    • Example: introduction page for every module- CL included the following:

      • Audience

      • Alma Roles

     Q: Can multiple people be assigned as instructors for the same Canvas course

A: Yes if the course is started at the CO level

ERM Open Forum/ Office Hours

• Do we have a topic???

• From last meeting: Continue the ERM Open Forums and post recordings (attendance has been great once we started sending calendar invites and actually having an agenda to present). Where are recordings being posted?

  • Potential future topics:

    • How to get liaisons to participate/provide feedback/acknowledge platform migrations (ex: EBSCO UI) - need to be made aware of changes, provide feedback, learn new interface, updates libguides….how do ERM folks tackle this (and how successful are they?)

Decided to continue ERM Open Forum the 3rd Friday of every month starting October 18. The continuation will be announced at the next TS Open Forum and an invite will be sent out.

• Possible topics include OA access questions, refresher on ERM communication, monthly release/any significant features.

• • No topic for October 18

  • Most of committee will be out

  • Agreed to CANCEL ERM Forum on 18th (calendar invite cancelled and chair will announce at the next TS Open Forum)

• Next ERM Open Forum will be November 22

  • Kirstie Genzel will present on managing Consortia Manager for ERM

  • Will send out a series invite

• ERM Open Forum Calendar Invites

  • A single one was sent for the 18th (CANCELLED)

  • A series invite will be sent for the 3rd Friday

  • The canvas course will be the main project the committee focuses on this year.

  • Kirstie will continue to update as time permits. Asks others to update as well if they have vendor support contact info handy.
