ScholarWorks records are now being harvested weekly into Primo.  The records will not show-up in your campus’ OneSearch results by default, however.  Rather, libraries will need to configure Primo to include their campus’ ScholarWorks records and, optionally, all ScholarWorks records in various search scopes.  Directions for doing that are available on Confluence, and we’ll be going over this process at a future Discovery open forum.

Digital Archives Working Group

The group has also been working on a set of resources and some baseline guidelines for digital preservation that could be useful across the CSU. They will be building out some more context around the various resources available, and how they can be applied.

Metadata Working Group

The MWG has been engaged in an analysis of how types and genres terms have been historically used in DSpace & ScholarWorks, as well as reviewing how other institutional repositories handle these fields.

The group has also worked on a file naming convention and a forthcoming recommendation on the number and scope of work forms for ScholarWorks. 

Publishing

As of February 26, 218 APC (article publishing charge) waivers have been approved through the Elsevier OA pilot. As questions come up, FAQs will continue to be added to the Confluence documentation page, and the pilot administrators for each campus have been invited to attend one of two train-the-trainer sessions in March.
