Alma enhancement timelines

(based on dates from 2017 & 2018 cycles)

Submit new Alma enhancements to NERS (2 weeks) 

Mid-February – Mid-March

Enhancement Team reviews, dedupes, scopes, verifies, and sets up vote in NERS (5-6 weeks) 

End of March – Mid-April

First round of voting (2-3 weeks)

Mid-April – End of April

Enhancement team reviews results, prepares to send to Ex Libris for pointing (1 week)

Mid-April

Enhancements to point sent to Ex Libris 

Mid-April – early/mid-June

Ex Libris pointing work (6-8 weeks, includes ELUNA meeting)

Early/mid-June – early July

Second round of voting on pointed enhancements (2 weeks)

Slate is finalized and submitted to Steering Committees/Ex Libris for final approval

IGeLU/ELUNA member campuses should submit all pending enhancement requests to NERS.
Campuses without 
IGeLU/ELUNA membership can submit enhancement requests to the Chancellor’s Office. Chancellor’s Office to share enhancement requests on Confluence.

Mid-January

Compile enhancement requests for Alma and Primo & submit requests via NERS (or via the Chancellor’s Office for those without IGeLU/ELUNA membership). 

End of March

Review Alma enhancements and determine local voting priorities (if IGeLU/ELUNA member). Participate in voting on CSU Chancellor’s Office survey.  

Mid-April

Review Primo enhancements and determine local voting priorities (if IGeLU/ELUNA member). Participate in voting on CSU Chancellor’s Office survey.

Early-June

Review 2nd round Alma enhancements and determine local voting priorities (if IGeLU/ELUNA member). Participate in voting on CSU Chancellor’s Office survey.

July/August Submit feedback on the enhancement process to the Chancellor’s Office.
