SFX Clean-up for ALMA Migration

An SFX team member at each library received an Incomplete Activation report which lists what needs to be cleaned up (it shouldn't be much).

Look at the list of Merged Targets / Shared Resources to see if anything needs to be un-merged or merged: List of Merged Targets/Shared Resources.

If you're not sure what shared resources or merged targets are or how the work, look at the following document: SFX Shared Resources.

SFX vs. ILS data in the final load

If there is a portfolio available in SFX and your ILS, you should exclude the ILS electronic version of that title from your data extract.  You should ONLY migrate the physical version of that title.  These titles should be left off of your P2E migration form.  Only include electronic titles in the P2E migration form that are NOT in SFX.

If your library imported ILS records into SFX do not migrate these records.  If the target is a getFullTxt target in SFX deactivate the target or targets just before migration so they do not migrate to Alma.

*The exception*

The only case where you will migrate records from your ILS that are available in SFX is if:

You are migrating acquisitions data and there is an order record attached to the ILS version of the title

In this exceptional case, you will see duplicates in Alma of these particular records. You should not see duplicate records of any other type.

Walk through the following diagram to visualize what will happen during the migration to ILS records that are also in SFX:
