Creating a Slack Account

Click here to create a Slack account. Select your email domain from the drop down list.

Slack allows for direct private messaging with any other Slack member, impromptu group messaging, and group messaging within persistent Channels. When you sign up for Slack, you can click on “Channels” and join any that interest you.

You can use Slack on the web through any browser, but you’ll likely also want to download the Slack client to your computer.

Adding the CSU+ Channel

To add the CSU+ channel, select “Add a channel”, locate and select “csuplus”, and “Join Channel”.

Direct Contact

Through Slack you can also directly contact other Slack users to ask quick questions, work on issues, or share information. Some users are always on Slack during work hours so you can quickly contact them. For example, you can always contact the Resource Sharing Manager during work by searching “@Chris Lee” under Direct Messages.
