Jessica Updates
  • Went through all the weekly updates
  • Removed LexisNexis now that Uni is active
  • Working on Safari titles
  • To do: Academic Complete, OUP, Mergent, Annual Reviews, ASCE
GOBI API/EDI
  • Northern TS Group will be talking about this
  • San Jose has ordered a lot of single title ebooks since go-live
  • At first, was getting rid of OCLC record and moving order to CZ record, but that didn't take advantage of API
  • If they don't set the holdings, then no record overlays
    • Setting holdings in Connexion on one-by-one basis
  • For the most part, OCLC does select the right record, but now always.
  • Long Beach: Gobi is placing holdings for them
  • When portfolio exists in CZ, linking existing imported portfolio to CZ
    • Brings in Community portfolio but doesn't require shifting order
  • San Bernardino not using the API
  • One person does ordering, not sure which record to select in many cases
  • Could offer Zoom sessions with multiple workflows for single title ebook purchasing
  • Invoices not working correctly (Long Beach and Monterey Bay)
  • They're seeing list price instead of actual price in their invoices
  • Ex Libris has a workaround, but it involves repurposing a setting needed for other things
  • Ex Libris unwilling to troubleshoot unless Gobi changes their EDI practices
  • What can we do?
    • Sacramento has detailed process diagrams for ebook ordering
What else?

Follow up on old issues or introducing new ones

  • Elsevier SUSHI
    • Nikki published something for this in Analytics.
  • Jessica talking to other consortia about NZ problems
    • Wishlist: view-only portfolio access, pick-and-choose display logic, service precedence.
