ScholarWorks Update - February 2018

Hi ScholarWorks! I’m here with a few updates! So without further ado:

ScholarWorks, the Application

We’ve been working hard with a few core infrastructure tasks. Our first sprint brought our codebase, which resides at https://github.com/csuscholarworks/bravado, up to the most current master release from Samvera. If you have technical skills and want to test-drive the application, feel free to pull from the repository and give the application a whirl. Our next sprint will focus on our repository code to enable deployments for migrations in Amazon Web Services, and to enable libraries the ability to test applications and contribute design code. Our goal is to complete migrations by the summer of 2018, and I will continue to be in touch with campuses throughout this process.

ScholarWorks, the Group

We’re currently renewing our organizational charge to emphasize collaborative interest group work. We will continue to provide systemwide updates through the listserv. Our project related updates will appear on our Confluence site, as well as resources and work from interest groups. Our #scholarworks channel on Slack is open for conversations about the ScholarWorks project. We will be using our Github account for issue tracking. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, don't know where to start, or want to learn more ways to be involved in ScholarWorks!
