Project Update 6/6/17

All –

Today’s update will contain general project status info as well as updates on Alma-Financial systems integration, resource sharing training, and things to keep in mind for your Fulfillment Cutover in June.

* Project Status *

Group 1: All libraries have received their Alma data and are currently testing in preparation for Alma data acceptance tomorrow, June 7. Go-Live is on schedule for next Tuesday, June 13.

Group 2: All libraries are currently scheduled to receive their Alma data on Monday, June 12. Testing should begin immediately after your data is delivered. It may be possible for your data to be delivered to you sooner – I will let you know if so.

Group 3: All libraries are currently scheduled to receive their Alma data on Monday, June 19. Testing should begin immediately after your data is delivered. It may be possible for your data to be delivered to you sooner – I will let you know if so.

The Network Zone was delivered to the CSU this morning. So far, so good.

Primo has been cleared of data in preparation for the final load. Primo Back Office access continues to be available. Individual campus access to Primo will occur in tandem with delivery of your institutional zone.

* Alma-CFS integration *

Once the dust settles on the migration, you might consider getting started with Alma-CFS integration.  This allows for the automated transfer of invoice/voucher data from Alma to PeopleSoft, eliminating duplicate data entry between the two systems.

We have a Getting Started document that is linked from the Confluence site here:

* Notes regarding Fulfillment Cutover *

  • If you were a LINK+/Circuit campus, you will need to exclude all LINK+/Circuit loans from your final loan extract in order to prevent items that were checked out to another site from getting “checked out” to the incorrect local patron during the final fulfillment cutover.  Please see the following page for more details on this: https://calstate.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=44466274.
  • If you are a Sierra campus and Sarina is exporting your fines for you, please email Sarina letting her know what time you’ll be doing your final fulfillment data extracts, and she’ll be sure to do your fines extract at the same time.

Take care,

Brandon
