4/14/2017 RFID Task Force Status Report

Campuses are being encouraged to test RFID functionality. Currently, one out of three campuses has successfully implemented RFID in Alma, with another in testing attempts (Monterey Bay), and the other (Channel Islands) awaiting to begin the testing process.

Monterey Bay has set up the third party integration profile in Alma, but has not been successful in getting the two systems to communicate properly. Fresno has shared an alternate approach to implementing RFID, which might prove to work, but both other campuses (MB & CI) have not had a chance to test.

Group plans to meet again during April to check in and receive an update on where things stand with regard to testing and implementation of RFID.
