= Welcome to 2017! =

With a new year comes the knowledge that we are entering the final stretch of our Alma and Primo implementation. Six short months from now, we will be fully implemented in Alma and Primo, an exciting realization indeed! We have hit all of our project milestones to date, some even earlier than expected, and all due to your hard work and dedication.

We will be asking all of you to keep up the same energy and effort from here through the end of implementation in June as we intertwine more Alma and Primo functional webinars with campus delivery of training, the completion of data and functionality testing and the subsequent move into the final data load in April and May. We will look to finalize policies and best practices currently under development by the working groups and task forces in preparation for final configuration of the system, and will likely need to prioritize all of these efforts to ensure that topics that need to be addressed before Go-Live are given attention, while topics that can wait to be covered until after the system is live may be held over.

I have asked ExLibris to provide me with as much detail as they can about the remaining months of implementation as well as the Go-Live process and will share all of those details with you as soon as I receive them.

Thank you all for your effort and good cheer, and I look forward to working with all of you in continuing to make this process as smooth and transformative as possible.

= Spring webinars =

We are working with Ex Libris to put together a Spring functional call series and have submitted a list of topics for their consideration. We expect the format to be along the same lines as the Fall series in terms of length, venue and general construction. Similar to the Fall, we will be looking inwardly for folks to help present on some of these topics, either together with Ex Libris or as a separate series. Topics that have not yet received much attention to date are being given preference, including third-party integrations.

I will share the final list of topics on this list and ensure that a schedule is put together in the next couple of weeks to help with planning your springs.

Take care,

Brandon
