Topics for ULMS for July-August Training

Discussed suggested topics and priorities, and identified potential CSU expert trainers to cover both cataloging and normalization rule (basic and advanced) as well as configuring normalization processes for bibliographic and holdings records. Proposed minor revisions to the topic of general workflows from acquisitions to cataloging and access, and eliminated the topic "Workflow for management of e-Books in electronic collections" since it duplicates one of the topics proposed by Acq/ERM Functional Committee.

Some questions:

How long will be each training session?
Would it be possible to have a Q&A session on issues related to Acq, ERM, and Resource Management (questions/problems gathered in advance)?

Material Type & Analytics

Currently there are no prescribed values for "Material Type" in item records. Members questioned if the Committee should standardize values and consult Analytics to inquire if "material types" from item records are used for Analytics.
