It is free – if you commit to spending a certain amount of money each year (maybe – this might be negotiable)
Thoughts on Rialto – nice to be able to others holdings in the NZ, invoicing is a problem, (something about voting integrations?)
Someone said: There is a great video/training on the Rialto dashboard – can you point me to it so I can share with the others?
Use the Idea Exchange to add vendors to Rialto [I couldn’t find this anywhere – does anyone have a link?]
Salesforce chat works very well for Rialto (Kenny is very good)
Part of the adoption is getting selectors to use it
There are metadata issues with the records
Tough to get refunds if there is a pricing change
Not sure how many libraries have Rialto – small but a growing network
Rialto interface so much better than Gobi, some campuses are moving off of Gobi as much as they can with its old interface and extra charges
The community colleges are really in on Rialto (we will see many of them at ELUNA and eCAUG later this year to share notes).
CSU sites with Rialto turned on:
CSU Long Beach
CSU San Bernardino
Cal State LA
Sonoma State
San Diego State
San Jose State
Cal Poly Humboldt
Things that happened after the meeting:
I voted for Rialto enhancements for the CO thanks to your input (100 points to give): 8802 – 25, 8214 – 25, 8722 – 20, 8829 – 20, 8897 – 10.
I’ve been asking around about our history of this in the CSU, contracts, etc. and will have more information by our meeting next week (May 8).
PO Line Task List/interface change thoughts
Not intuitive changes – a lot of ‘where is this thing/feature/button’, why did they add so many steps, things at the top vs. the bottom
Making the interface match a lot of the rest of Alma, it will eventually all look like that (Rapido already in that format) but this is still new to people working in this area
Renewal date issues
Task List changes didn’t impact campuses that don’t have a lot of tasks in the list
Order It! for May 2024 release
Jessica looked at it, there is a bookmark you can install on your browser to try it out
After the meeting:
Christina sent some notes and a video on Order It!, it works out of the sandbox (sent sandbox logins), will go live Sunday, May 5
Other topics
May 2024 release has something to allow you to delete licenses, Jessica tried it out, it works and they really want to make sure you don’t delete licenses by accident
Alma->PeopleSoft export – who is doing this? Catrina/CSUSB and Bernadette/SFSU confirmed it is done at their sites, Christina H can confirm it is done at CSUN as well. Christina will get a full list from David Walker at the CO since he has a program that runs centrally to make this work.
