• Luiz Mendes asked the ERM Committee to present the following topic in September:

  • CDI for Dummies

    Many CSU libraries are activating e-collections in the CDI in lieu of cataloging or activating them (portfolios) in Alma CZ. For example, my own library (Northridge) has activated a number of streaming video collections in CDI which by-passed the need for cataloging/managing collection in Alma. Some questions emerge: how do libraries decide which approach is best: to manage e-collection via Alma (cataloging or CZ) vs CDI? Benefits of activating collections in CDI vs Alma?
