Procedures in Alma
Alma Configuration
Required components:
- Resource Sharing Library
- Resource Sharing Partner
Resource Sharing Library
The library must have Open Hours and Terms of Use (TOU) established in order to be used in Alma.
Hours
In Alma, navigate to Fulfillment » Fulfillment Configuration » Configuration Menu.
Select the Resource Sharing library from the “You are configuring” option.
Under Library »Opening Hours, specify a default set of hours as per the Alma documentation. You will need to create separate entries for each day of the week.
Terms of Use (TOU)

Setup requires the creation of a Resource Sharing Partner and a Resource Sharing Library.
Resource Sharing Partner
In Alma, navigate to Fulfillment » Resource Sharing » PartnersAdd new partner as instructed in . Click Add Partner and complete the fields listed below under the General Information tab. You can view the ExLibris Documention, here.Code - Set this to your desired code. This is the code that you use to address the resource sharing library via the plug in - ApplicationProfileType in the plug-in settings below.
Profile Type - NCIP
System Type - ILLiad
Status - Active
Supports borrowing - checked
Supports lending - checked

Parameters
User Identifier Type - This should be the same as the user code in Illiad. This will be the match point between the two systems.
Default library owner - Resource Sharing Library
Check-out Item - Default location - Lending resource sharing requests - Default item policy - the plug-in is configured to use ILLiad set due dates and will override any settings here
Receive Item - Default location - Borrowing resource Sharing Requests - Default pickup library - select your default pickup location for Borrowing requests - Automatic receive - checked - Receive desk - Resource Sharing Desk
