Campus Financial Integration | 1. Not many people are up and running with this, but there is interest in expanding this to more interested campuses. One concern is that many libraries expect pushback from ITS, etc., so if support from the CO (which seems to exist) could be officially passed on to campus ITS groups, that may help. Another concern is that integration could cause problems with any current workarounds in Alma (eg. tax). |
ETDs I still wonder about this at CSU level in PCI. While the specific IR program from ExL was terminated, it's still possible to propose a new PCI collection. Would this be feasible or desirable? | 1. There was discussion about how ETDs should be handled – traditional cataloging or harvesting from IRs. There was a fair amount of interest in harvesting information. ERM folks should note that harvesting is an all or nothing option – either everything in the IR collection comes or nothing – and that Primo doesn’t seem to be able to dedupe records coming from the IR pipe and from Alma. So, if you move from cataloging to harvesting, you will likely need to do Alma cleanup to ensure that for everything with a record in the IR, you do not have a record/portfolio in Alma. Some campuses on their own systems now harvesting. Makes ACRL reporting more complicated. We'll |
Orders | 1. There were questions about moving orders (esp. when moving items between bib records) and the difference between relinking an order and changing the bibliographic reference. Could be incorporated into OCLC record approach demo for GOBI API |
