Choose a new Vice Chair for 2021/2022

  •   Vice Chair - Austin Lenzen

List of continuing issues for the next committee

  •  CDI is an ongoing issue and will likely dominate ERM discussions in the upcoming year

  • Migration to Primo VE will bring up new issues, possibly with the differences between how Primo and PrimoVE combine multiple versions of the same records

  • The joint task for with the Assessment and Analytics Committee for NZ/IZ overlap analysis was proposed but never really got off the ground. It is still an issue that would be good to investigate.

  • Updating ULMS ERM documentation (contact lists, best practices, tips and tricks) ongoing

  • Explore the SDLC opt-in ordering coded memo tool (wasn’t et yet available when we last checked in) - but new overlap analysis coming out at the end of the year so more waiting

What we accomplished this year

  • Extensive committee training for managing CDI, and sharing out our evolving understanding of CDI in the Technical Services Forum

  • Polling the members and communicating ERM issues to Ex Libris, including intensive feedback for our Top 3 ERM issues:

    • Metadata errors in CDI (and the CZ)

    • Community Zone Updates and records are causing extra work for ERM and Cataloging Staff

    • CDI Updates/Indexing is taking too long

  • CDI testing in PrimoVE

  • ERM documentation updates (editing existing documentation, new NZ ording instructions)
