Example of a CDI issue - Using Activation Analysis:

The link Link to Adam Matthew was not initially working.Should Gale was appearing but the library does not have access to that particular article, it is not included in the subscription. Where is the full text link be present in the record? coming from?

Use Activation Analysis tool to check if the full text link should be available . If so, report to Ex Libris. In this case, this was an index issue and the reindexing fixed the link.

Used CDI Activation Tool to check that full text linking was available from the resource. Confirmed that there is full text available from Adam Matthew. Opened Salesforce case with CDI team, required a reindexing of the CDI index to correct the linking.

The results that state there is full text but doesn’t mean that you will see a full text link for every resource listed. It gives you a place to start to adjusting CDI settings. Second scenario: If a full text link is missing, the tool can let you know where the full text is available and CDI settings can be adjusted so the full text will appear.

*NZ CDI settings can be adjusted by library logging into the NZ as the NZ CDI user.
