One of the new features in Rapido is the ability to make Borrowing and Lending sets. Sets are essentially saved groups of filters in Alma. You can easily make your own sets and/or use the out of the box sets in Rapido.

Creating Sets

To create a Set from scratch go to Rapido → Borrowing or Lending → All active borrowing requests or All active lending requests. You will now be in the base view of Rapido Borrowing or Lending where all requests are accessible. From here you can refine your results and save your filters as a Set.

To filter the requests open the Facets menu. Select the filters you want for your set and select Save as a New Set. Name the Set, put it in a group, and save it to make a Set.

Managing Sets

To manage your Sets click the gear icon on the Rapido Menu to access the Manage Sets page.

On the Manage Sets page you can turn Sets on and off, edit their settings, or even delete them. By default all Sets are inactive. The following default Sets will likely be useful for most Resource Sharing staff:

The following Sets are likely to be used by the most Resource Sharing Staff in the CSU:

Borrowing

Go to Rapido → Borrowing → All active borrowing requests to make the following Sets. To make it easier to make a Set activate Include Zero Values to make it possible to select filters without any current active requests.

To make a Set for items needing mediation due to missing information select the following filters as your labels:

• Labels

  • Missing_Article/Chapter_Title

  • Missing_Book_Title

  • Missing_ISBN

  • Missing_ISSN

  • Missing_Journal_Title

• Status

  • Ready to be sent

Save as a new Set with the following settings:

• Set Name

  • Missing Information

• Group

  • New

• Private

  • No

• Permanently Active for All Users

Lending

Go to Rapido → Lending → All active lending requests to make the following Sets. To make it easier to make a Set activate Include Zero Values to make it possible to select filters without any current active requests.

Select Copy (Physical) Set

This Set groups items together that need to be attached to a specific volume or copy prior to printing the pull slip. Printing the pull slips without this step creates pull slips with information for every volume or copy of the requested item. This version of the set is for Physical Items. Select the following filters:

Requested Format

Save as a new Set with the following settings:

• Set Name

  • Select Copy (Physical)

• Group

  • New

• Private

  • No

• Permanently Active for All Users

  • ☑

Select Copy (Digital) and Fill Electronic Set

This Set groups items together that need to be attached to a specific volume or copy prior to printing the pull slip. Printing the pull slips without this step creates pull slips with information for every volume or copy of the requested item. This version of the set is for Digital Items.

Currently this Set also contains all the Article and Book Chapter requests to be downloaded and delivered. A future update will add a filter necessary to make this a separate Set. For now the two Sets are combined. Select the following filters:

• Status

  • Created lending request

• Requested Format

  • Digital

Save as a new Set with the following settings:

• Set Name

  • Select Copy (Digital) and Fill Electronic

• Group

  • New

• Private

  • No

• Permanently Active for All Users

Print Pull Slips Set

This Set is to group together items that need their pull slips printed. Select the following filters:

• Status

  • Being Processed

• Requested Format

  • Physical

Save as a new Set with the following settings:

• Set Name

  • Pull Slips (Physical)

• Group

  • New

• Private

  • No

• Permanently Active for All Users

  • ☑

Article Processing Set

This Set is to group together items that need their pull slips printed and is currently where you will also download articles and book chapters you own electronically. Select the following filters:

• Status

  • Being Processed

  • Created Lending Request

• Requested Format

  • Digital

Save as a new Set with the following settings:

• Set Name

  • Pull Slips (Digital)Article Processing

• Group

  • New

• Private

  • No

• Permanently Active for All Users
