The Inclusive Description Task force will evaluate evaluates problematic and offensive LCSH, and may work in coordination with the Norm Rules Joint Task Force to create CSU wide solutions for these headings.  This task force will expand expands on the work that was done with the LCSH heading “Illegal Aliens”, examining other headings and proposing CSU wide solutions wherever possible.  

In addition, this task force would may work with a the CSU SACO funnel if that is created.  Subject Headings for the task force will be identified via suggestion suggestions as well as by existing resources, such as the Problem LCSH list on Cataloging Lab: https://cataloginglab.org/problem-lcsh/ .The work of this task force will be ongoing, with a 2 year membership.  Membership in this group would be open to any interested parties, with a particular focus on those with metadata expertise.  Recruitment will be done via the ULMS mailing list as well as the Technical Services Open Forum.  Expected contribution is 2-5 hours per month.
