2016 May 17 – CSU Fullerton Academic Senate (AS) passes “Resolution in Support of Open Access for Faculty Publications” (ASD 16-89) to raise awareness and to call for the creation of an opt-in OA Policy
2017 February 8 – Pollak Library hosts What’s Brewing, keynoted by Chris Kelty, instrumental in the UC system passing an opt-out Green OA Policy. President García, Provost Puri, and Academic Senators attend.
2017 May 18 – After a Green OA Policy (ASD 17-57) passed AS Library committee and made the Senate agenda, Bilby presents on the policy at the invitation of AS Chair Emily Bonney. Time expires before a vote can be cast at EOY Senate meeting.
2017-2021 – AS Library Committee passes nearly identical policies three more times, but legal concerns prevent Exec from bringing it to plenary.

2019: ASCSU: The ASCSU Green OA Resolution has its second reading in ASCSU plenary. Bruschke sponsors, and Janousek (CSULB) speaks in favor. The resolution is unanimously passed (AS-3376-19/FA).
2020: At Sacramento State, the academic senate was encouraged to pass an OA resolution in fall 2020, but no action yet.
2021: At CSU East Bay, the Academic Senate passed this version on a version of the policy on 4/14/2020; President sent it back to the Senate for revisions before signing.
